Škoda Auto delivered 812,400 vehicles in the first nine months of 2026, a performance that lifts the Czech carmaker to second place among Europe's best-selling brands. The Mladá Boleslav-based company paired that volume with an 8.3 percent margin over the nine-month period — results it presents as confirmation of solid finances and a strong position on the European market.
The regional breakdown points to broad-based growth. Western Europe added 9.0 percent to reach 483,200 units, Central Europe gained 6.6 percent to 160,200 vehicles and Eastern Europe rose 7.7 percent to more than 42,000 units. Hungary delivered one of the brand's strongest national performances at 19.4 percent, ahead of Belgium at 17.1 percent, while Egypt surged 48.8 percent — the steepest increase among the markets highlighted.
Electrified models are doing much of the heavy lifting. Battery-electric cars and plug-in hybrids now account for 29.8 percent of Škoda's European deliveries, with the Elroq identified as the main growth driver and Germany acting as a key market in the brand's EV offensive. The compact electric SUV's pulling power is visible at retail level: in the Netherlands, the Elroq was the best-selling car in October 2026, a month in which battery-electric vehicles took 55.2 percent of the overall market.
The nine-month momentum does not, however, guarantee uniform monthly gains. In the Netherlands, Škoda's October volume dived 33.2 percent even as the Elroq topped the model ranking, according to Best Selling Cars Blog data. Belgium points in a similar direction: October registrations fell 5.9 percent year-on-year to 31,949 units, pulling the year-to-date tally down 1.5 percent to 352,323, with 61 percent of the month's sales going to fleets — even as Kia posted a 34.3 percent October jump and Škoda's own Belgian deliveries were up 17.1 percent over nine months.
