Škoda Auto has secured its place as the second best-selling brand in Europe, registering 666,798 vehicles in the enlarged European Union over the first nine months of 2026, according to figures reported by MotorsActu. The Czech carmaker's overall deliveries for the same period reached 812,400 vehicles, per results relayed by Presseagence, underlining the financial solidity the company has highlighted alongside its climb up the European sales table.

Profitability is keeping pace with volume. Škoda's sales return reached 8.3% over the nine months, up from 8.0% a year earlier, showing that the brand's growth is not coming at the expense of pricing discipline. For a volume manufacturer in one of the world's most competitive markets, expanding share while holding margins above eight percent is a combination few rivals achieve.

The results are anchored at home in Mladá Boleslav, where the carmaker launched production of MEB+ battery systems in February 2026, pulling more electrified component manufacturing into Czechia. That industrial weight matters well beyond one brand: Škoda's plants and supplier networks remain among Central Europe's most important automotive anchors, and the company's commercial momentum feeds directly into order books for parts makers across the region.
