October gave Poland's commercial vehicle trade a month to remember. Importers and sellers of heavy trucks have not had an October this good, according to figures reported by Rzeczpospolita — and sitting on the other side of the desk are the country's own carriers, who are once again putting money into their fleets. In road haulage, where every tractor unit is a multi-year bet on freight volumes, that is about as loud a vote of confidence as the industry knows how to give.
The optimism is not floating free of the facts. A newly published forecast sizes Poland's third-party logistics (3PL) market as a USD 10.9 billion opportunity through 2035, with e-commerce, automation and China-EU trade named as the principal growth engines. Behind those numbers sit Poland's strategic position in European freight transportation, sustained e-commerce growth, foreign direct investment pouring into warehouse infrastructure and an industry busy consolidating. Carriers ordering trucks today are, in effect, reserving capacity for growth that is already visible on the horizon.
The mood went on public display earlier this month at TransLogistica Poland 2026, the 13th edition of the international transport, logistics and supply chain fair, which ran from 3 to 5 November. Grupa DBK was among the exhibitors at this year's gathering — a timely stage for a sector that has just closed its best October for truck sales and shows little sign of easing off the accelerator.
Nor is the spending confined to truck cabs. Polish rail carrier PKP Intercity is in line for millions in EU funds to purchase 70 new passenger carriages and 10 electric locomotives, extending the investment wave from road to rail. Stack the signals together — record truck demand, a USD 10.9 billion 3PL horizon, foreign capital in new warehouses, EU money in rolling stock — and a picture emerges of a country betting boldly on growth at a moment when much of European industry is still hedging.
Fleet renewal, of course, begins with finding the right vehicle — whether that is a company car for the front office or the next workhorse for a growing operation.
