Ebro, the revived Spanish automotive brand, has officially commenced activity in Croatia with the opening of its first dealership in Zagreb. The step marks the marque's formal launch on the Croatian market and its latest advance in a wider European expansion drive.
“The inauguration of our first dealership in Zagreb marks the official launch of Ebro in Croatia and a new step forward in our European expansion,” said Rafael Ruiz, president of Ebro Motors. The Zagreb showroom now serves as the brand's Croatian beachhead as the Spanish marque builds its footprint across the continent.
Just as significant is what the company signalled comes next: Ebro says it continues to search for new importers to take the brand into additional markets. For distribution partners across Central and Eastern Europe, that amounts to an open invitation — and a chance to secure an emerging marque before competitors move in.
The retail push comes as investment keeps flowing into the region's automotive sector on the supplier side as well. As recently reported by EastAutoNews, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has provided a €15 million loan to Selzer Automotive Bosnia to expand production of components for electric and hybrid vehicles and train workers. For dealers weighing whether to add a new brand to their portfolios — and for buyers curious how a fresh arrival compares with established names on price and equipment — the European marketplace WorldTrader24.de, with more than 70,000 vehicles listed, offers a broad basis for comparison.
