Škoda Auto has launched a new full‑hybrid version of the skoda octavia on the Czech market, available to order from 26 October 2026. The model combines a 1.5 TSI evo2 petrol engine and two electric motors in system outputs of 100 kW or 125 kW, and is offered in both liftback and Combi body styles with a starting price of 744,900 Kč (incl. VAT).

Key facts

The hybrid Octavia pairs a 1.5 TSI petrol unit (96 kW in the base hybrid and 110 kW in the stronger variant) with two electric motors; one serves mainly as a generator while the larger traction motor drives the front wheels and recovers energy under braking. Škoda quotes combined fuel consumption of 4.6 l/100 km (liftback, both outputs) and a practical combined range above 930 km thanks to a 40‑litre fuel tank. Trim choices cover Selection, Top Selection, Exclusive Selection and Sportline. Orders opened on 26 October 2026.

Škoda is backing the hybrid powertrain with an extended traction‑battery warranty of eight years or up to 160,000 km; buyers can also opt for prepaid servicing up to five years/150,000 km and extended vehicle warranties up to five years/200,000 km. Standard hybrid equipment includes a 13" infotainment display, 10" virtual cockpit, 17" alloy wheels, Qi2 wireless phone charging and driver assists such as lane‑keeping, blind‑spot monitoring and rear parking sensors.

Model context

The Octavia is Škoda's long‑running core model and this hybrid launch comes as the nameplate marks three decades since the modern Octavia entered series production in 1996. The model family has produced almost 7.9 million units across four generations and remains a central volume driver for Škoda's factories in Mladá Boleslav and Kvasiny. That scale helps explain why Škoda is introducing hybrid technology in the Octavia as part of a broader electrification push.
