French automotive supplier FORVIA reported a modest improvement in momentum in the third quarter of 2026, with consolidated sales of €5.08 billion and an outperformance versus global vehicle production driven by Europe and North America.

Numbers and drivers

FORVIA said organic sales were broadly stable in Q3 (-0.6% year‑on‑year) while reported Group sales rose to €5.08bn. The EMEA region generated €2,342m in Q3 and Europe alone contributed €2,290m — a 4.1% organic increase that the company says delivered most of the Group’s 100 basis‑point outperformance versus S&P Global Mobility’s production forecast. Electronics posted strong momentum (organic +7.0%), while Clarion Electronics grew 22.0% organically. FORVIA provided the regional and business‑line figures in its 2 November sales release.

Interiors sale and balance‑sheet impact

The company confirmed that the planned divestiture of its Interiors business has received required regulatory clearances and is on track to close in Q4 2026. FORVIA said the transaction is expected to reduce net debt by more than €1.0bn and gross debt by more than €1.4bn, a key step in its IGNITE strategic roadmap. The group reiterated full‑year 2026 guidance (sales €20–21bn; operating margin 6.0–6.5%).

What this means for the market

FORVIA’s Q3 programme underlines two supplier trends that matter for Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). First, demand for advanced electronics — radar, energy management and infotainment modules — remains a growth pocket in Europe, supporting European supplier plants and specialist sub‑tiers that serve OEMs across CEE. Second, the Interiors divestiture will change the supplier landscape by moving a large body of seating and soft‑trim volume (and the contracts that go with it) away from FORVIA’s integrated group structure into new ownership; that reallocation can prompt re‑tendering, consolidation or localisation moves that directly affect CEE suppliers who compete on cost and proximity. The figures and timeline FORVIA published make the scale and timing clear: closing is expected in Q4 2026 and the group quantified the expected debt reduction.
