Zagreb's showroom map has a new pin. On October 31, Spanish marque EBRO inaugurated its first Croatian dealership in the capital — and used the moment to sketch a far bigger ambition: a national network of eight centres, with neighbouring Slovenia already waiting in the wings.

The product plan behind the push is a four-strong SUV range, with every vehicle destined for the Croatian market assembled at the Ebro Factory plant in Barcelona's Zona Franca. That single-source setup means each Croatian delivery also feeds the brand's Barcelona manufacturing base — a linkage EBRO presents as a core dividend of its international expansion.

The retail offensive lands as institutional money keeps flowing into the wider region's automotive sector. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is providing a €15 million loan to Selzer Automotive Bosnia to expand manufacturing capacity and increase production of components for electric and hybrid vehicles. “It enables us to invest in new machinery, advanced manufacturing technologies and increased production capacity for electric and hybrid vehicle components,” said chief executive Michael Stötzel — evidence that Southeast Europe's automotive momentum now spans both the factory floor and the showroom floor.
