Chinese automotive supplier Wuxi Autolink Intelligence Tech is establishing a greenfield production site in Dragomirești-Deal, a locality situated roughly 10 kilometres from Bucharest, where it will build automotive electronic components from the ground up. The investment, as reported by Romania's profit.ro, adds a new Chinese player to the country's automotive supply industry.

The company manufactures electronics and electrotechnical components for the automotive industry, and the project is already moving from planning to execution: Wuxi Autolink has recently begun recruiting workers for the new site. Because the facility is being developed as a greenfield investment, operations there are set to be built up gradually rather than transferred from an existing plant.

The location decision plays to the fundamentals that continue to work in Romania's favour. The country is one of the fastest-growing economies in Europe, driven by a large industrial base in which the automotive sector plays a significant role, and highlights from FIS 2026 emphasised that industrial growth there increasingly depends on technology, talent and regional competitiveness.

The investment also reflects strong demand for modern production capacity around the capital. Industrial space developer WDP currently holds roughly 2 million square metres of space in Romania, with automotive companies representing an important part of its tenant base, and as industry voices stress, Western companies operating globally need high-quality production space. A Chinese supplier opting for a greenfield build near Bucharest signals confidence in that same infrastructure and labour market.
