Škoda Auto delivered 812,400 vehicles to customers worldwide in the first nine months of 2026, an increase of 6.1% year on year that underlines the Czech brand's financial solidity. The nine-month performance was matched by a milestone closer to home: Škoda now holds second place on the European market, cementing its position among the continent's leaders.

The result stands out against the backdrop of its parent company. As Auto Infos observes, Škoda continues to make its own way within a Volkswagen Group described as depressed, with the Czech marque one of the few bright spots in the portfolio. Strong showings in Europe and India have been the twin engines of that outperformance.

Electrified models are pulling a growing share of the load, with the brand recording a strong rise in electric vehicle sales over the period. Outside Europe, India remained Škoda's largest market with 53,200 units delivered, up 7.8%, followed by Turkey with 32,600 units, a gain of 1.2%.
