Craemer Group has officially commissioned a 2,500‑tonne servo press at its metal‑forming plant in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia, a move the company says responds to rising production volumes and expands its capacity to manufacture large, complex automotive components. The machine was inaugurated at a ceremony on 13 October 2026 and the company published details of the investment on 29 October 2026.

Machine and capability

The new servo press — supplied by Nidec Arisa — has a press force of 2,500 tonnes and an 8,000 mm × 2,500 mm press table. An ARKU coil feed line installed with the press can process coil material up to 2 metres wide; the press also uses HELP (High Eccentric Load Press) technology designed to tolerate high off‑centre loads. Craemer says the installation extends its ability to form large, high‑complexity parts and process high‑strength steels.

Diego Ariznavarreta, CEO of Nidec Arisa, described Craemer’s repeat order as “a strong sign of trust” in Arisa’s team and technology, while Craemer managing director Siegbert Geldner said the press lets the group react to higher production volumes and broaden its forming capabilities. Both comments appear on the company announcement and in coverage by industry press.

Why it matters

Craemer’s Liptovský Mikuláš site already manufactures complex seat structures for the automotive sector; the new press increases the plant’s capability for larger and more complex parts that today’s carmakers increasingly demand from regional suppliers. The company has run metal‑forming operations at Liptovský Mikuláš since 1997, and this investment signals further industrial upgrading of a CEE supplier base that feeds vehicle assembly across the region.
