Swiss supplier Autoneum announced on November 2, 2026 that it has signed an agreement to acquire the French Trèves Group, a maker of acoustic, thermal and interior components for cars. The deal — which Autoneum said will be completed subject to employee consultations and regulatory approvals — is aimed to close in early Q1 2027.
Deal size, scope and numbers
Industry coverage of the announcement reported that Trèves generated roughly €720 million of revenue in 2025 and employs about 4,600 people across some 26 production sites in 15 countries, including Câmpulung (Romania) and Veľká Lomnica (Slovakia). Combined pro‑forma 2026 revenue for the enlarged group is expected to exceed CHF 2.9 billion.
Public reporting summarised the headline consideration at about €64 million in total value, structured as an upfront payment (around €40 million) and a potential earn‑out of up to €24 million; most of the initial consideration will be paid in newly issued Autoneum shares and approximately €7.5 million in cash. Autoneum’s investor presentation and media summaries also flagged implementation costs of roughly CHF 60 million and recurring synergies in excess of CHF 50 million from the third year after closing. Autoneum expects the transaction to be EPS‑accretive from 2028.
Why acoustic and interior scale matters
Autoneum and Trèves both supply noise, vibration and thermal management parts, plus trunk and interior systems — product areas in which scale, material sourcing and proximity to vehicle assembly lines matter for cost and timing. Autoneum’s release and investor call emphasised that the combination will broaden manufacturing coverage in markets where Trèves is already present (Europe, Morocco, Brazil) and will allow optimisation of production networks and purchasing.
