Daimler India crosses 25Okay exports milestone, Auto Information, East Auto Information
CHENNAI: Daimler India Industrial Automobiles has hit the milestone of manufacturing 25,000 automobiles decided for exports. The milestone automobile, a Fuso FJ 1823R, was shipped to Saudi Arabia.
DICV’s exports enterprise was launched in 2013.
An integral a part of Daimler’s world manufacturing community for vehicles and buses, its Indian Oragadam plant in Chennai is the one location worldwide which produces engines, transmissions, vehicles and buses catering to 4 manufacturers – BharatBenz, FUSO, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner.

DICV’s exports elevated by 8% to 7,054 vehicles in 2018 (2017: 6,553 models). DICV has additionally been rising its components enterprise with over 100 million components being exported to different Daimler entities.
The corporate now provides automobiles to 50 international locations.
